Payment Security

All payments are securely processed through trusted payment gateways such as Razorpay. Sattva does not store your credit card or banking information.

Every two years, all inactive customers will be deleted from our backend after a final notice of deletion is sent. An inactive customer is defined as a person who provided information at the time of registering or ordering on our website but has not placed a first or subsequent order for a full year.

You may access and update your data after logging in. If you wish to have your data deleted, please send a request to ask.sattvaindia@gmail.com. Any privacy-related grievances may be directed to the same email address, and we will respond within 5 working days.

Our website is powered by Shopify, a platform whose servers may be located outside India. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than India. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. By using our website and submitting your information, you consent to this transfer.

Data Breach Notification 

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. In the unlikely event of a data breach that may affect your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required under applicable law, including the DPDPA 2023. We will inform you of the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the steps we are taking to address it. Notification will be sent to your registered email address without undue delay.

Data Retention for Orders and Communications 

We retain your order history, billing information, and communications with us for as long as necessary to fulfil legal, accounting, and dispute resolution requirements — typically up to 7 years in line with Indian tax and financial record-keeping obligations. Personal information no longer required for these purposes will be securely deleted. For inactive customers, please refer to our data deletion policy above.

Social Media Widgets and Third-Party Login 

Our website may include social media buttons or links (such as Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp share buttons). If you interact with these features, data may be shared with those platforms under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. When we make changes, we will update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email (to the address registered with us) or by displaying a prominent notice on our website. Minors / Children under 18   

Our website is intended for use by adults only. If you are not an adult (i.e., under 18 years of age), you may browse our website but you should not register, place an order, or submit personal information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Please note that even if you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we will continue to send you transactional emails related to your orders, account, and any service updates. 

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Regulatory Authority 

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your privacy concern or request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India, established under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA 2023). Sattva India (operated by Ramakrishna Sarada Samiti) is committed to complying with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA 2023) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. As a data fiduciary, we process your personal data only for the purposes described in this policy, with your consent where required. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, withdraw consent at any time, and nominate a representative to exercise these rights on your behalf.
