Who operates the Sattva website?
The website sattvaindia.org is operated by Ramakrishna Sarada Samiti (RKSS), a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Registered Office: Behind T-66 MHADA, Pratiksha Nagar, Sion East, Mumbai 400022. You may contact us at ask.sattvaindia@gmail.com.
Who can use the Sattva website?
The website is intended for users who are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Indian law. Minors may browse the website but should not register, place orders, or submit personal information without parental supervision.
Do product images on the website accurately represent what I will receive?
We make every effort to represent our products accurately. However, as Sattva products are handcrafted using upcycled and patchwork textiles, slight variations in fabric placement, colour arrangement, and textile composition may occur. These are a natural part of the Sattva design philosophy and are not considered defects.
Can prices change without notice?
Yes. All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR). Sattva reserves the right to update pricing, product availability, and descriptions at any time without prior notice.
Can I use Sattva's website content, images, or branding?
No. All content on the Sattva website — including images, text, graphics, logos, and design elements — is the intellectual property of Ramakrishna Sarada Samiti and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
What is Sattva's liability if something goes wrong on the website?
To the extent permitted by law, Sattva and Ramakrishna Sarada Samiti in fact, are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from website use, technical errors, or third-party service failures. Your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 remain fully protected.
What conduct is prohibited on the Sattva website?
Users must not place fraudulent orders, scrape or copy content without permission, attempt unauthorised access to the website, upload harmful code or viruses, misrepresent their identity, harass others, or violate any applicable Indian law including the IT Act 2000 and Consumer Protection Act 2019. Violations may result in legal action and termination of access.
How are disputes resolved?
These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, they may be referred to mediation in Mumbai under the Mediation Act, 2023. If mediation fails, disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Are third-party links on the website endorsed by Sattva?
No. Links to third-party websites (such as courier portals, payment gateways, or social media) are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement. Sattva is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
Can Sattva update these Terms of Service?
Yes. Sattva reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website. For significant changes, you will be notified by email or a prominent notice on the website.
Am I responsible for my account on sattvaindia.org?
